Obituary

Yolando Siderio, 98 of Media, PA, died Monday September 2, 2019 in the Penn Hospice @ Chester County, West Chester, PA.

Born in Paternopoli, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Batiste and the late Filomena (Caproizzo) Petruzzo and sister to John Petruzzo and Laura Finizio. Yolanda immigrated to the United States when she was 8 years old with her mother, brother and sister. Yolanda and her husband Frank, lived for many years in Sharon Hill, PA where they raised their three children.

Yolanda was a skilled seamstress for many years. She loved to knit and crochet, and some pieces were a work of art. As a young girl, she crocheted a beautiful tablecloth that took her many years to crochet and is now a treasured family heirloom.

As an amazing cook and baker, she enjoyed cooking for the family during the holidays. There are many fond memories of Christmas Eve’s impressive Feast of the Seven Fishes.

She also looked forward to her daily late night calls with her best friend Susie Donato, talking about their daily shopping sprees, and comparing their many recipes.

Every Friday night she played cards with her friends and continued to play cards with new friends that she met recently. As a multiple winner of BINGO, she will be remembered for being very competitive and enjoyed winning!

Predeceased by her husband Frank Siderio, son-in- law Brian Buchanan and grandson Ricky Buchanan.
Survived by her children Phyllis Buchanan of Port Miltilda, PA , Roseann (Lou) Harris of Wilmington, DE., and Frank (Carol) Siderio of Media, PA

Grandchildren, Brian, Ricky, Christina, Brett, Ashley and Frank; Great Grandchildren, Jordon, Josh and Luke
