Obituary

William J. Bruno, 77 of, Drexel Hill, PA, died Thursday February 27, 2020 in his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Augustus Bruno and the late Helen (Lombardi) Bruno.

He worked in construction and was a handyman who could fix anything around his house. Bill enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles. He enjoyed working on cars and teaching neighbor children to rebuild and care for their cars. When the children were
growing up he enjoyed swimming in his back yard pool, throwing darts and playing pool especially crazy eights. He enjoyed watching and playing sports with his daughters, he taught them how to play sports, teaching them to play harder than the boys, “because girls can do anything the boys can do, only better”.
He enjoyed watching Eagles games with CarolLyn, Billy, Thomas and the crew.
Bill loved spending time with his family and friends watching action movies and talking on the phone with his family.
Two of his favorite expressions are “ Hey butz” and “hey daddy”. He enjoyed listening to music and a few of his favorites are “ Bad Bad LeRoy Brown” “the Rubber Band Man” and the “Lion Sleeps Tonight”, ”Sailing” and of course “Sweet Caroline”

Survived by three daughters: CarolLyn E. Bruno, Kimberly A. Bruno and Debbie A. Bruno-Cambria, 6 grandchildren, Angelicarose Bruno-Madiro, Ashley Marie Bruno, Ryan James Bruno, Tony Marano, Jr ,Matthew Marano and Nicholas Cambria ; 7 great grandchildren, Alaina Catherine , Arianna, Patrick, Cassidy, Marilyn and Anthony III and Melaina, the mother of his children Carol his sister Franny Libertz, his 2 nephews Billy and Michael, his best friend
Rudy. He will be greatly missed by all. Also survived by his beloved fur baby, Princess Peach.
Daddy, dad, pop- pop and grandpop wanted you to know he loves all of you very much.

Daddy you are gone but not forgotten and will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Our hearts are saddened by the loss of your physical presence, but we know you are our angel in heaven watching over us. I am forever grateful for all the love, laughter and time God gave us together. And although you will be missed every day, I made you a promise that I will be ok and I will. We love you with all our hearts, love always CarolLyn.

Visitation Monday March 09, 2020 10:00am-10:30 am at St. Madeline’s Church 400 Morton Ave. Ridley Park, PA followed by his Funeral Mass Monday at 10:30am.

Interment will be private.

Never Forgotten. Great Neighbor growing up. Remember as if yesterday going to MC dirt racing when he was racing his Bultaco and wrenching on it in the garage. Thoughts and Prayers with Your Daughters and Grand Children. GBU RIP Bill.
