Obituary for Marcella C. Harley (Clardy)

Marcella C. (nee Clardy) Harley, 93 died peacefully March 7, 2021 in her home.

Born in Essington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marcella Clardy.

Marcella was a longtime resident of Ridley Twp. She was an accomplished seamstress and was known for her beautiful crochet work particularly baby sweater sets. However, her favorite past time was spending time with her family.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Ridley Park, Red Hatters, the Breakfast Club and the Ridley YMCA. She retired from Boeing, Ridley Park where she assembled intricate wiring for aircraft.

Survived by five daughters: Barbara Catona, Geraldine McIntire, Anita (Walter) Armstead, Karen Harley and Linda (Michael Gray) Hennessy, 2 brothers: Guy Clardy and George Clardy,
5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her Son, Daniel Jay Harley, sister Dorothy Lower, husband Daniel J Harley and special aunt Emma Bright and uncle Alvah Bright.

Friends may call Thursday from 9-10:15am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA.

Due to current restriction, her funeral service and burial will be private. Mask and social distancing are required at the funeral home.
