Obituary

John D. Nicholson Sr. 77 of Brookhaven went home to be with the Lord on August 24,2020 after a short illness.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa. he was the son of the late Frank and Bernadette (Zutterling) Nicholson.
John was a 34 year resident of the Folsom section of Ridley Twp before moving to Glen Mills and eventually Brookhaven.
He was employed as a machinist for many years by Westinghouse in Lester Pa. and retired from Uff Machine Company in 2007.
John was a devout and faithful servant to the Lord Jesus. He always made time to share his faith with others. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church and had been a member of The Praise Center in Eddystone. He was a kind and generous man to all he met and especially to his family, friends and his dogs. John enjoyed sports and was an avid boxing fan. He loved gardening and enjoyed bird watching. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Marna (Kramer) Nicholson and devoted father to sons John Jr. (Mary Sue) Nicholson of Aston and Jeff of Brookhaven devoted and loving grandfather to Jessica, Andrea, Brian and Chris also great grandfather to Olivia and Jaxon. He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Bernadette Giusti (Nicholas) of West Grove and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Nicholson. A celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday September 12th at The Praise Center East 4th St. & Saville Ave. Eddystone Pa. Visitation will be 9:30am through 11:00am memorial service will follow.
