Helen K. Barr, 93, of Ridley Twp., Morton, PA, passed away Wednesday October 7, 2020 in her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and the late Bertha(Gartner) Kelly. Helen graduated in 1944 from the John W. Hallahan School for Girls. For most of her life Helen was a homemaker. After decades of raising children and taking care of her husband, she went to work at the Federal Courthouse in Philadelphia. All through her glorious life, Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver, a wonderful cook and baker and a deeply devoted and loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She spent many a summer day at the Ridley Township Swim Club with the "pool ladies" playing cards.

She is predeceased by her husband James J. Barr and her seven siblings.

She is survived by her children: Karen Barr-Gosselin, Dennis (Anne) Barr, Kevin Barr, Monica (John) Feehery and Brian (Sheri Clemiss) Barr. She is survived by 10 grandchildren: Aimee McManus, Danielle Damasco, Cecilia Ulmer, Elizabeth Barr, Timothy Barr, Christopher Barr, Matthew Barr, Megan Barr, Olivia Feehery and Jake Feehery. Also, 9 great grandchildren: Charlie, Mackie, Ben, Gabe, Owen, Katherine, Drew, Harper and Boden.

Helen wrote in a legacy journal that the most important lesson she learned in life is "Love is the most important gift one can give to others." Also from her journal, Helen wrote that she wanted to be remembered as a "loving person". She will always be remembered for her kind and loving way.
