Obituary

Fred R. Howell, 95 of Aldan, PA, died Tuesday September 15,2020.

Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Eurie (Curry) Howell. He served during World War II in the US Army . He was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Collingdale.
Fred was a 73 year life member and past fire chief of the legacy Collingdale Fire Co. #1. He was a 40 year member of their relief association and former fire chief of Collingdale Borough. Fred was also a member of Keystone State Fireman’s Chief Assoc., Pa Fireman’s Assoc. and 4th District Fire Marshall.
Fred was an active member and past commander of American Legion Aldan Memorial Post 1000.

He worked in the water distribution department for Aqua PA for 43 years.

Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Fillinick) Howell and his siblings George C. Howell, Esther Kelly, Eurie Kouba and Virginia Muller

Survived by his son Frederick Howell , several nieces and nephews and his care givers Lynn Gallo,Gloria Goodwin, Ruth Fimple and Ellen Dearborne.

Visitation Saturday from 9- 9:45 am in Saint Joseph's Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave., Collingdale, PA followed by his funeral mass at 10am

Interment Private

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Collingdale Fire CO. PO Box 1360 Collingdale, PA 19023 or Aldan American Legion Post PO Box 278 Clifton Hts, PA 19018
