I met rebel at the Spring Ford diner in Spring city a little over four years ago. He was there with his daughter and I was there with my wife. I found out at that time that he was living at the VA Center. I began visiting him, playing bingo and up in his room talking joking and telling stories about our days in the Navy. Rebel was a really really big man but he was kind and gentle. I loved his laugh, his laugh made me laugh. I wish I knew him 20, 30 or 40 years ago. He is in heaven now and I am sure when he first got there, Jesus said to him “ well done, good and faithful servant.” Rebel, you truly were a good Christian. I miss you but I know I will see you again someday!! Thank you for being my friend and for the good times we had together.

Chuck,
Please accept my sincerest condolences of the loss of your dad. The same goes to all of your siblings and Rebel's extended family.
Unfortunately, I can't attend the service on the 23rd as must be in Washington, D.C. that morning on a commitment that I made months ago.
Rebel was quite a guy. In my eyes he was the Mayor of Crumlynne/Leiperville.
Sincerely,

Greg Mallon
