Some quick memories about ACE in a short period of time that I came into his life. To talk about him is a pleasure, a gratifying
attempt. As I teamed up with Marlene I became best friends with ACE. The first remembrance, he would get a big kick out of,
was when Betty Ann would rebuke me about my philosophy of life, debating for hours and how I should follow her ideas which
in her mind were sacred. Eventually I would have to give in and ACE would laugh heartily. Another remembrance is when Marlene
would vacuum the rug in front of his famous couch while he was watching the Phillies. He would have to lift his legs high so she could vacuum underneath his legs. As I looked at ACE he would make visible jesters with his face and laugh sarcastically at Marlene he was funny, but keep his cool. I'll close with our famous trip to Europe. He was so much fun, while we were taking turns driving Lisa and Marlene would make comments about our driving. ACE, under his breath would criticize them both and I would laugh and carry on. The final blow came when Lisa got upset about choosing the Monastery in Florence Italy (converted to a hotel). It was very old, haunted, possessed with ghosts she wanted out. Lisa start crying very upset. Well ACE looked at me and with his mannerisms we both got hysterical not knowing weather to be worried about Lisa staying or leaving.
